Health screening equipment

Health Diagnostics provide a complete range of health screening software and equipment to enable pharmacies to deliver NHS Health Checks. This equipment allows the full range of CVD health checks to be conducted. All the equipment is selected on the basis of accuracy and reliability, for example;

• Blood pressure monitors are AA approved.
• Only Cholesterol analysers listed in the NHS Purchasing & Supply Agency's Buyers' guide are provided

Health Diagnostics acknowledge the importance of demonstrating ‘best practice’ and complying with clinical governance issues when using point of care testing (POCT) equipment outside a diagnostic laboratory. All POCT equipment should have regular EQA checks from a recognised Independent Accredited Laboratory. To aid in this process Health Diagnostics sign each pharmacy up to an external quality assurance scheme (1 year) and provides internal quality control materials and training.

Health Diagnostics provide training on all the equipment supplied and are also able to offer an on-going maintenance contract after the first year.
